This course is ideal for people who are no longer absolute beginners (who already know how to use a sewing machine) but don't have much practice and would like to brush up on their skills. Students will hone their previous knowledge of sewing machines and their functions, as well as basic techniques, and reasoning from the inside out. Students will complete short projects in class such as zippered pouches and bags.

Learn to make several simple book structures, each of which has great potential for making artists' books. We'll explore a few book structures in class: a circular book, an accordion book, books made from one sheet of paper, lotus fold.
