Art Inspired by Literature
“The circus arrived without warning…”
Bring a work of literature to life in the physical realm. Create a piece of visual art inspired by Erin Morgenstern’s The Night Circus. Join us for an afternoon of art making, then hear the author speak that same evening at a nearby location.
“Morgenstern’s extravagantly imagined first novel pits rival magicians against each other in a mesmerizing circus that traverses the world in the late 19th century.” — New York Times 8/12/12
Works created during the workshop will be exhibited as part of JP Reads at the Footlight Club, Oct 5–6.

JP Reads is a new community-based initiative designed to engage the Jamaica Plain neighborhood to join together in reading a single, selected book. An author talk, thematic events and shared discussions will take place in September and October 2012.
