LEGO Workshop with DEILab Ages 9-12 1MP24

DEILab is bringing back their LEGO Innovation Workshop to the Eliot School!

The LEGO Innovation curriculum is based on mechanical, artistic, design and robotics projects. DEILab's unique programming explores the foundations of engineering in the modern day. Teams will learn the practical application of structural foundations, modular construction and civil engineering as they create and improve their own personal projects.

With head-to-head designing varying from buildings, bridges, battle robots and more; the act of play motivates a kind of mental activity that energizes creative thinking and innovation. Participants experience the thrill of leading and innovating in a competitive environment of the mind while enhancing analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills.

DEILab

DEILab visits the Eliot School each summer with LEGO and robotics classes for kids. Its curriculum is based on mechanical, artistic, architectural design and engineering projects.

"DEILab (pronounced "day-lab") was founded on the belief that art, design, science and technology will trigger a culture of innovation critical to our ability to compete on a world stage. Our labs focus on idea generation (ideation), iteration (prototyping), as tools for innovation using hands on LEGO projects as an activating agent in the chain of events. The programming fans out into corporate labs for adults, and summer camps, and after school labs for children and young adults."
