Altered Books Workshop 1W20
Transform books, old or new, into art objects. The book becomes a canvas, a sculpture or a reliquary of personally meaningful content. Draw inspiration from the book’s author or contents, or purely use the book as a structure. Incorporate paper cutting, collage, bookmaking and other processes. The instructor will have books on hand, or bring your own, along with small objects and images to include. Limit 8 students
Cristina Hajosy is the owner of Hajosy Arts, her atelier of photography, printmaking, bookmaking, artists books/journals and decorative papers. In addition, she owns and operates Cristina Hajosy Photography, providing wedding, portrait and event photography in New England and New York. Her online stores at Shisofine.com and Ebay.com offer her handmade books, limited edition prints and photographs and other products. She is a prolific artist and artisan and an active art educator, teaching at numerous schools in Greater Boston.
