Custom Dress Form & Draping

In the first half of this intensive, create a dress form custom-made to your measurements. In the second half, learn the art of draping, an essential pattern making technique that uses the dress form to shape clothing patterns that hang gracefully on the body. This handson technique lets you preview a design as you work, resulting in a pattern to both suit your style and fit your body. Take home a customized dress form and one or more custom-drafted patterns. Prerequisite: Pattern Making I, Beginning Clothing Design or permission from instructor. Limit 8 students
