Drawing Without Straight Lines 1S20 CANCELED

Push your traditional notions of drawing and increase your observational and technical skills. Students will learn and practice how to draw by looking in new ways, understanding perspective and making their own individual marks. Class emphasizes developing dimension and mass as a way to create compelling imagery. Students will work from still life, natural forms and the figure. We will investigate abstraction using a variety of media including graphite, ink, colored pencil, charcoal and conte crayon. This is a beginner-level class, but all levels are welcome to sharpen and expand their skills.

Limit 8 students
