If you need to learn how to use a sewing machine for the first time, Basic Sewing is for you. Learn how to operate a sewing machine, learn basic sewing terms, sewing methods and tools of the trades in order to choose, read and understand patterns.

**PLEASE NOTE: Enrolled students must not miss more than one consecutive class or they will not be able to progress to the next level in the course.**

In this beginner course, students will learn how cast on, knit, purl, and develop a good tension. Students will start with a simple scarf to practice the basic knitting skills. 

Spend the winter making cozy crafts with this unique fiber art! Students will create a variety of crochet projects, including accessories and plushies.
