Gelatin Prints 1F19
Make printing plates from wobbly, versatile gelatin in a process easily repeated at home. Explore the difference between homemade gelatin plates and the store-bought variety. Select your favorite style and create an edition of prints. Use stencils and a variety of tools to create dynamic, layered artworks. Limit 8 students
Maggie Carberry Pasquan
Maggie Carberry Pasquan is combines media and methods in her work, including photography, printmaking, painting and collage.
Currently teaching art in Westwood Public Schools, she has also taught at Holmes and Lee Elementary Schools (Dorchester) through our School Partnership Program, and at Dorchester Collegiate Academy, Winsor School (Boston), American School of Brasilia (Brazil), SouthEast Academy of Scholastic Excellence (Washington DC) and Newport School (Kensington MD).
Her work has been shown at Galatea Fine Arts (Boston), at Boston City Hall, in Brazil, London, and elsewhere.
Maggie served as Program Coordinator for the Eliot School Partnership Program (2012-13) and Summer Program for Children (2011, 2013). She earned her BA in Art Education from Catholic University of America and her MA in Printmaking from University of the Arts (London), where she won a Marlborough Fine Arts Award.
