A tincture is a of type extract commonly used in herbal medicine. "Bitters" refers to herbal formulas that are strongly bitter in flavor and supportive of the digestive system in many ways.

In this class, Su Cousineau of Taproot Healing will share about how bitters support our health, the properties of some common bitter herbs and the basics of home herbal tincture making. You'll also be guided in making your own 4 oz herbal bitters formula for take home. (Please note this product is made with alcohol)

*No program offered by the Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts is intended to diagnose, prevent or treat a medical concern.  No program should replace treatment for a medical concern, nor should program-providers be viewed as medical professionals offering treatment to participants.

Su has so much knowledge to share!  I learned a lot from her.  It was a lovely group of people, so was great to be in the community.  And of course, being able to make and take home our own tincture.  I feel empowered to make my own bitter tinctures now.
