Indigo Dyeing

Use real indigo dye, derived from a plant used for centuries in Africa and imported to the New World. Learn how indigo works. Then, use stitching and binding techniques to resist the dye—variously known as Japanese shibori or West African adire—and learn how to remove indigo dye to create additional stunning effects. Create and take home some unique and beautiful scarves or samples. Limit 8 students
