*Natural Balms, Salves & Tinctures 1W22
Have you ever wanted to make your own herbal remedies?
In this class we will learn to make your own custom herbal salves, balms and oils, to treat a variety of concerns. Learn about the medicinal properties of plants common to the area that you can harvest in your own neighborhood. Investigate medicinal plants used for centuries in various healing traditions, and how their active compounds affect the body. You'll learn about the active portions of each plant; roots, stems, leaves, blossoms, and how to prepare it for maximum efficacy. We will talk about growing your own herbal garden, where to get high quality herbs and what resources are the best to start with.
You'll leave the workshop with your choice of salve/balm/oil with a custom herbal blend designed to address your needs.
*The instructor will provide each student a custom kit that includes all supplies needed to create your own herbal remedies.
*This class meets outside, in one of our canopy classrooms. Please dress accordingly.
