Pet/Animal Portrait

Rendering animals requires different skills than rendering people. Gain skills and techniques to portray eyes, nose, ears, and fur to scale. Bring a selection of photographs to serve as your model. Bring your favored media: acrylic, watercolor, charcoal or other painting or drawing supplies. Limit 10 students

Materials

Whatever medium you would like to use: watercolor, oil or acrylic
Drawing pencils in the bs
Sketch book 9x12 or larger
Photographs of their pet in oil
Surface to paint on, watercolor paper, canvas or canvas board any size they want
Eraser
Sharpener
Paintbrushes for the medium they brought
Bring any paint colors as long as they are in red, yellow, blue, white and black. Alizarin crimson and yellow ochre is good. The instructor  suggests you purchase a painting kit.
