Realistic Drawing Simplified 1W27

In this class, students will explore proportion, shape, light, and shadow through a series of sustained drawing exercises inspired by the 19th-century Charles Bargue drawing course. The class offers a structured but approachable way to strengthen your skills by learning to look beyond the flat page. Develop greater accuracy, patience, and sensitivity in observational drawing with a backdrop of historical perspective.
Referencing reproductions of cast drawings from antique sculpture, students will practice measuring, comparing, and refining their drawings with an emphasis on simplifying concepts of form rather than copying details.
Limited to 8 students. No previous drawing experience is required. Beginners and experienced artists alike are welcome.
