Simple Jewelry ***NEW***

Design and make simple jewelry. Assemble a beginner’s jewelry kit and bring your own beads or materials from a list provided in advance. Make one pendant or pair of earrings using simple wire-wrapping, wire-bending, string beads and crochet techniques. Additional methods may be used depending on your skill level and interest. Excellent for beginners and those seeking camaraderie while making simple jewelry. Limit 10 students

Materials

  • Pliers: round nosed, flat nosed, chain or snipe nosed, side cutters
  • Wires: gauge 26 copper or silver or brass, gauge 20 copper or silver or brass, gauge 18 copper or silver or brass.
  • Selection of beads, pearls, gemstones
  • Hammer + steel block (optional)
  • Mandrel for ring and bracelet making
  • Beading board or mat
  • Copper/Brass or Silver endings
  • Copper/Brass or Silver chains (optional)
  • Earring wires: copper, brass or silver
  • Clasps: copper/brass or silver
  • Memory wire (optional)
  • WigJig (Possibly) for Jewelry
