Tamara Nikotina is a realist watercolor artist with a passion for urban sketching and plein-air. As watercolor is one of the hardest medium's to master, her goal as a teacher is to make her students feel comfortable with the medium and confident in their artistic expression. In her philosophy, the true beauty of watercolor is not in perfection, but in letting go and allowing the watercoloring process to take you on a journey.

Her artistic journey began in a classical arts school in Russia, and later she came to the US where she continued pursuing her artistic visions. During college, she organized and co-led a fine arts club with a great community and university-wide exhibitions showcasing student works. Always seeking to be surrounded by creative spirits, she continued growing an artistic community around her by attending and organizing local pop up galleries and exhibitions. In Tamara's free time, you can find her painting, hiking, or biking around Boston.
