When long-term appreciated securities are donated, no capital gains tax is due on the transfer. The donor may take a charitable tax deduction based on the full current market value.

The Eliot School's formal name is Eliot School Trustees, incorporated in 1843 and tax-exempt under IRS 501(c)(3). All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
Donating tools & supplies
We are delighted to accept shop tools and art supplies in good condition. We will need to talk with you first, so contact us about your in-kind donation. We do not accept donations of furniture; our students supply their own.
