In this workshop you'll learn how to take measurements, cut fabric accurately, machine-sew and create cushions and slip-covers to precise specifications. Bring an old cushion to renew, or a small piece of furniture you'd like to cover.
Making and Memoir is a two-day workshop intensive that stitches together personal writing with handcraft techniques. Students will create a 100-word mini-memoir (which they may opt to submit to the New York Times 'Tiny Love Stories" column) while exploring fiber-work techniques including Yorkshire buttons, Suffolk puffs, peace patches, and more.
