Macramé - Plant-hangers 1W23

Learn the basic knots and create your own macramé plant-hanger!

Class includes demonstrations of how to use various knotting techniques, how to add beads, mix colors and choose types of ropes and strings that will allow you to design, create and experiment with your own style.

All experience-levels welcome.

Please provide $20 for materials to the instructor when you arrive.

I took this workshop because I wanted to learn a new skill.  I especially appreciated how much attention the instructor gave each student as we went along and having the materials provided to us.  I'd like to take another class with her and make another type of hanger with different knots, now that I've got the basics down!

“I love bringing art to students because it provides a respite from purely academic work. It’s an opportunity for them to create something of their own, on their own terms, and decide for themselves what the outcome will be. Looking at a blank piece of paper or a block of wood and being able to spark a student’s imagination into what it could be and, even better, guiding them to the process of seeing that dream through, is wonderfully inspiring.”
