Weave a Table-Runner 1S23
Learn to master the art of hand-weaving and weave a table runner, to be taken home at the end of the day.
No previous experience is necessary, as you will be guided by Dahlia through weaving, design and finishing.
We will be weaving with re-purposed cotton fabric strips on rigid heddle looms. Each student will be encouraged to see this way of weaving as a potential form of art and design which will be foremost in determining your own unique table runner.
Consider bringing your own fabrics to cut into strips and weave with. These can include a son’s flannel shirt, a husband’s neckties, patterned sheets which are no longer in service, etc. Dahlia will have many cotton fabric strips to choose from as well.
Limit 6 students.
I wanted to try weaving again and brought my mom to learn how to weave and try a new crafting experience. I loved Dahlia’s attention to detail and ability to make every step understandable and fun. She’s incredibly helpful in answering every question, creating a comfortable class environment, and ensuring that everyone feels good about what they’re creating while learning lots along the way! Dahlia is a stellar instructor and a fabulous communicator.
I took Dahlia’s scarf weaving class in the fall and loved it (which led me to sign up for this class) and I’d absolutely come back for another weaving workshop with her! I registered for this workshop because I wanted to try weaving again and brought my mom to learn how to weave and try a new crafting experience! I really enjoyed the small classroom environment and couldn’t have asked for a better instructor or classroom learning experience!
