Woodworking Open Shop 3S23

Choose your time of the week and join a shop away from home, with tools, mentorship and community. Design and construct projects of your choice. Projects must be a manageable size due to limited storage; check first with instructors.  Prerequisite: Basic Woodworking: Box.

Limit 10 students, vaccinations required, masks required indoors at all times.

Wood must be provided by student.  Other materials cost included in tuition.

After I took the box class a few years ago, I knew this place was a good fit.  I just knew Eliot was the place for me to create my designs in an encouraging environment that would teach me the how-to in order to make my ideas reality. This is one of my happy places!  I get to work with real master craftsmen that are willing to share their knowledge and encourage me in my skills and creative design goals.

I'm continuing the exploration of woodworking and building my skills.  Open Shop provides access to great tools and helpful instructors when you need them.  Frank, is a master; he's a terrific carpenter who knows intuitively what to do and how to do it. This was my first class with Larry.  He, too, was terrific. Great woodworking skills and communication skills. He has a lovely manner and is a natural teacher.
