2026 Artist in Residence Application Now Open!

Find a Class

Are you an artist who loves teen mentorship and engaging communities creatively?

The Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts is seeking a Greater Boston-based artist to be its 2026 Artist in Residence. Through a spring workshop series and summer intensive, the selected artist will collaborate with Teen Bridge youth to create public art with thoughtful community engagement at its core.

Proposals will be assessed based on their project's clarity of vision, demonstration of both artistic excellence and community engagement, and ability to meaningfully encourage teens' artistic development. The suggested themes for the 2026 residency are "joy as an act of resistance" and "liberated communities."

The selected artist receives a $15,000 stipend, up to $2750 towards supplies, access to Eliot School spaces during spring workshops and the summer intensive, logistical support from staff, and photo documentation of the residency.

If you have questions about the program or application process, please contact the Eliot School's Teen Program Manager, Jennifer Chan.

To be considered, submit a project proposal by December 1, 2024.
