April Vacation Program

April 22–April 25, 2025

We’re thrilled to introduce a new series of youth programs during school vacation weeks at the Eliot School! The first one will be held during the 2025 April Break from Tuesday, April 22 through Friday, April 25, 2025 from 9:30 AM until 3:15 PM. This program will serve students ages 6 through 12 years old.

During the week, students will receive instruction in two media: woodworking and visual arts. Students will be placed in two groups by age: 6-8 and 9-12. These groups will alternate between woodworking and visual arts in the morning and afternoon periods. The program will cost $510 per student.

Classes are capped at 12 students to allow for individual attention. Two teaching staff lead instruction in each medium. Instruction takes place inside the Eliot Schoolhouse. Play, snack, and lunch time will take place in both the Schoolhouse and, when the weather permits, the Schoolyard. Detailed offerings will be posted in January; check back then!

Summer Vacation Programs

The Eliot School is excited to announce both new and returning vacation options for youth this coming summer! Summer Studios, a new program for young artists, will debut June 16 through 27. Our much-loved Summer Program for Children will then run from June 30 through August 15. Don’t miss your chance to register your child(ren) for both options starting January 15, 2025.

Our hands-on programs focus on craft, curiosity, creativity, expression, and exploration in a fun and supportive environment. Our summer teaching staff are artists who are passionate about working with young people and specialize in 2- and 3-D visual arts, sewing and other fiber arts, and woodworking. Detailed offerings will be posted in January; check back then for class information by program and week.

Financial Aid

The Eliot School is committed to making our classes and workshops as accessible as possible to all people regardless of age, ability, background, or economic means. We are happy to offer a limited number of full and partial scholarships to increase access to arts programming for young people. Please note that for Summer Vacation programs there are additional terms and conditions due to high demand.

Priority for financial aid awards for 2025 Summer Vacation programs will be given to families who apply between December 13, 2024, and February 16, 2025. Financial aid decisions will be issued by February 21, 2025, to these applicants. Any applications submitted after February 16 may still receive financial aid awards depending on remaining funds.

To apply for a scholarship for any of our Summer Vacation programs, please complete our scholarship application.

By filling out our scholarship application, you agree to abide by the following scholarship policies:

  • Full Scholarship awards for all Summer Vacation programs are capped at 4 total weeks per individual child. Families with income-related benefits receive priority for full scholarships.
  • If a student can no longer attend a program for which they received a scholarship, they need to be formally withdrawn at least 2 weeks in advance (per our general registration policies).
  • Full attendance is expected for all students. If a student misses two or more days of a week of program more than once during the Summer Vacation period, they will be ineligible for financial aid for one year. This may be waived in special circumstances.
