Weave a Table Runner 1M24
Learn to master the art of hand weaving and weave a table runner, to be taken home at the end of the day. No previous experience is necessary, as you will be guided by Dahlia through the weaving, design and finishing process. We will be weaving with repurposed cotton fabric strips on rigid heddle looms. Each student will be encouraged to see this way of weaving as a potential form of art and design which will be foremost in determining a unique runner.
Consider bringing your own fabrics to cut into strips and weave with. These can include a son’s flannel shirt, a husband’s neckties, patterned sheets which are no longer in service, etc. Dahlia will have many cotton fabric strips to choose from as well.
This class is open to ages 12 and up. Great opportunity to work along with a younger family member/friend. Each registration is for one person.
