Explore the world of color and texture through this 6-hour tapestry weaving class where you will leave with a finished wall hanging of your own design.
In this class, you'll learn how to make a handmade tapestry and gain the knowledge to continue with your new craft. You can be as creative as you want and use yarn of various weights and textures to match your unique style. A variety of popular weaving techniques including plain weave, soumak, rya knots and tapestry techniques will be covered.
Dahlia, who has had decades of experience in weaving, will guide you and answer any questions from start to finish! Weaving can be very soothing.. a true de-stressor! Unwind your mind and zone out with this creative project.
No previous experience is needed.

Dahlia Popovits
Dahlia Popovits has been designing and weaving extraordinary clothes and accessories utilizing her award winning handwoven textiles made with the finest luxury yarns from around the world, for nearly 50 years. Her work can be seen in her Boston gallery, dahliahandmade.com, which features her handwoven clothing, as well as the work of other artisans.
She has taught at a variety of art centers the past 40 years, and is happy to be able to share her knowledge through her upcoming workshops.
