Basic Woodworking: Box 1F22
Learn fundamentals as you work a given plan through to completion. With a focus on six essential power tools, learn properties of wood and shop etiquette, interpret a plan, cut and mill stock and use basic machine joinery. This class qualifies students for intermediate classes and for Woodworking Open Shop. It is our gateway to more advanced woodworking. Complete attendance is required to fulfill this requirement.

Note: Because this class moves at a deliberate pace and serves as a pre-requisite for most woodworking courses, complete attendance is required. Please see our policies on withdrawals and refunds before registering.

Eric Campbell
Eric Campbell started woodworking in 2006 attending classes at North Bennet St. School in Fine Woodworking and Machine Woodworking, then designing and building a router table, Roubo workbench and full dining room set in the Eliot School's Furniture Design, Upholstery and Woodworking Open Shop classes. Since then, he has been designing and building furniture for his own home, incorporating new techniques and processes in each succeeding piece.
All materials will be provided in class. Materials cost included in tuition.
