We have an exciting series of free online crochet lessons for youth (ages 10-17) and adults in April. They’ll be taught by our AmeriCorps Volunteer Angela Cooper.

Beginning Crochet Lesson 1
Join us online to learn the basics of crochet. Learn how to hold the hook, form a slip knot, create a foundation chain and other principles of single crochet. Use your new skills to create a simple bookmark with tassels. No prior experience necessary! Beginners are welcome as well as those looking for a refresher. Limit 10 Students

Beginning Crochet Lesson 2
Dive back in to learn more about the basics of crochet in this online course. With new techniques such as working in the round, double crochet, the slip stitch and stitches in the same space, make a traditional “granny square.” Multiple squares can be sewn together to create purses, slippers, blankets, sweaters and more! This class has a prerequisite of Beginning Crochet Lesson 1, or equivalent skills. Limit 10 Students
