3D Felted Forms 1F25
Wet felting is truly a magical process and in this class we will explore the wonder of taking fluffy wool and making a structured 3D object like a hat or a sculptural form. Come and learn this ancient textile technique and walk away with a fun project that you make in just one class.
Wet felting is a technique where we use clean, fluffy wool to lay out layers that get felted together using just soapy water and friction...meaning your arm strength. It is a bit physical and students may get a bit wet as well so please wear clothes that are ok to get wet. This workshop will include a lot of arm work to agitate the fibers.
Throughout the workshop, you will learn the basics of felting a 3D object using the wet felting technique and take home at least one unique, handmade felted object that you can proudly display or wear.

Please bring a towel to work on that can get work and possibly dirty.
All other materials and tools are provided by the instructor for a $25 material fee, payable at the time of class.
