February Vacation (Ages 6-8): Visual Arts & Woodworking 1W26
Our February Vacation Program offers instruction in four media: visual arts, mixed media, fiber arts, and woodworking. Students can enroll in one of two tracks: A. woodworking and visual arts OR B. mixed media and fiber arts. This is the class page for A: woodworking and visual arts. Each class will be capped at 8 students to allow for individual attention. We only offer full-day programming during February Vacation week. All programming and breaks will take place inside the Eliot Schoolhouse. If the weather allows, students will have outdoor play time in the Schoolyard.
Woodworking (Morning Instruction)
For kids that want to learn or build upon the basics of woodworking. Children will build projects in wood with basic tools and techniques in an environment that emphasizes creativity and safety. Students will experience the pleasure of building things and completing them to take home.
Visual Arts (Afternoon Instruction)
For young artists who want to concentrate on specific skills in drawing, painting, and other 2D media. Students will improve their use of line, value, tone, color, proportion, depth, composition and more. They’ll explore a variety of materials and techniques while developing personal expression.
Morgan Seto
I have done art all my life, having graduated from Boston Arts Academy and Lesley University. I have been with the Eliot School for nearly ten years, starting as a teaching assistant in 2015 and becoming a teacher in 2021. I have taught ages 4 to 18 in a variety of arts, with the desire to see anyone—from anywhere—embrace their creativity to its fullest extent.

Lindsey Caputo
Lindsey Caputo is an everywhere based artist. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a BFA in Art Education. During her time at Massart, she volunteered in several Boston Public Schools while earning an initial teaching license in K-12 Visual Arts education. Caputo received an MFA in Studio Art at Maryland Institute College of Art with a Certificate for College Teaching. Since then, she has been expanding her studio practice by engaging in her interest in “the weird” and the Avant Garde. In 2022, she became an Adjunct Faculty member in the Arts and Humanities Pathway at Tidewater Community College where she taught Art Appreciation, 2D Design, and Foundations of Drawing.
