Kids Intro to Cartooning Ages 6-8 1M26
This workshop will engage, inspire, and introduce young artists to the medium of storytelling as a visual medium. The aim will be to teach the kids about storytelling in a broader sense, and introduce them to the various ways you can tell a story through pictures ie, picture books, comics, and illustrated prose. Students will walk away with an illustrated comic cover and at least one complete comic strip!
Deanna Soukiasian
Deanna Soukiasian is a Cartoonist and Editor from Massachusetts. She is currently an Editor for Scout Comics, and her work has appeared in the Gordon Zine, and Trina Robbins Pro-Choice anthology, Won't Back Down.
Deanna received her BFA from BU in Art History as well as her BFA and MFA in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Deanna loves Skeletor, Iced Coffee, and making comics!
