Find a Class

Maggie Hill was a constant and cherished face at the Eliot School for over four decades. She took her first class at the age of 27, when she had just started her lifetime career as a teacher in the Boston Public Schools, and continued with very few breaks until the age of 73. Throughout, she was active in her church and neighborhood, participating in missionary travels to Haiti and establishing a community garden.

The Maggie Hill Scholarship will allow students to attend classes tuition free and will help us share Maggie’s love for making and creating by hand. Maggie knew about the establishment of the fund, and was proud to leave this legacy. We are pleased to honor one of the Eliot School’s most treasured and long-standing students.
