Applications Are Open for Our Teen Artist in Residence Program

This summer, passionate, creative, driven young artists will have the opportunity to work with the Eliot School’s 2025 Artist in Residence, illustrator Yuko Okabe to collect story "meals" from each other and from community members. Students will listen and translate stories into a series of illustrations that will be unveiled during a public showcase, presenting the many tastes, smells, and sensations from our community through a series of artworks.

This program will consist of a five-week summer intensive, which will take place Monday through Friday from July 7 to August 8, from 10 AM to 3 PM each day. This intensive will be filled with community workshops, field trips, painting, and preparing for an exhibition at Piano Craft Gallery from August 22 through September 7

This program is free and we offer a $15 per hour stipend for participation.
