Introducing Our New Logo

Today, we’re excited to share something new: the Eliot School has a new logo! You may have already seen it in your inbox, and—tada!—here it is:
At first glance, it might seem a little surprising to introduce a new logo as we kick off our 350th Anniversary year. But don’t worry—we’ve got that covered, too:
We really dig our new logo, and we hope you will, too. This wasn’t a quick or casual decision—many people shared their thoughts, ideas, and feedback throughout the process, including staff, instructors, board members, advisory committee members, students, and other community members. There were lots of conversations over many months, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped shape the final result.
Our new logo honors Eliot’s deep craft history, drawing inspiration from traditional woodblock prints. It also incorporates a range of art and craft tools used in our classes today. The design clearly signals that we’re not a “traditional” school—even though our name proudly remains the same. Just as importantly, it reflects the fact that many people connect with the Eliot School beyond our Schoolhouse walls, through our teaching in community spaces and area schools.
We know this is a big visual change. But as we celebrate 350 years of creativity, learning, and community, it felt like the right moment for a fresh look. We’re excited for this new chapter and look forward to what the next 350 years will bring.
