Weave a Tapestry Wall-Hanging 1W27
Explore color, texture, and pattern in this 6-hour tapestry weaving workshop. You’ll learn the fundamentals of weaving and create a finished wall hanging of your own design.
Using yarns in a variety of weights, colors, and textures, you’ll experiment with different techniques, including plain weave, soumak, rya knots, and tapestry weaving. The instructor will guide you through each step, from setting up your loom to developing your design, and share the skills you need to continue weaving on your own.
Whether you're new to weaving or have some experience, this is an opportunity to slow down, work with your hands, and enjoy the meditative rhythm of weaving. No previous weaving experience is necessary.
*This class does not have a makeup date.
All materials are provided, including weaving fibers and a loom to use during the workshop.
A $20 materials fee is payable directly to the instructor on the day of the workshop. The instructor accepts cash, check, card, and Venmo.
