Come create and mingle with singles in Boston.  You'll learn the basic knotting techniques of "macrame" fiber-work, while connecting with other Boston creatives.

No prior experience required; macrame is a great craft for beginners and experts can assist their fellow singles in learning the ropes!

Class includes demonstrations of how to use various knotting techniques, how to add beads, mix colors and choose types of ropes and strings that will allow you to design, create and experiment with your own style.

Learn to master the art of hand weaving and weave a table runner,  to be taken home at the end of the day.

No previous experience is necessary, as you will be guided by Dahlia through weaving, design and finishing.

This workshop focuses on a technique called "darning," a fabric mending technique that involves re-weaving a portion of fabric.  Add new life to a beloved garment by darning tears, weak patches, stains and more. You may elect to make your darned repairs invisible, or embrace re-imaging your garment with an intentionally visible repair.

This class will build on the information and skills learned in the Introduction to Wicker Weaving class. 

The student will create a small serving tray by the completion of class.

In this weekend workshop, you'll learn how to transform images into embroidered pieces of art.

Combine basic embroidery with traditional drawing techniques like contour, gesture and hatching to create portrait drawings with thread.

Making and Memoir is a two-day workshop intensive that stitches together personal writing with handcraft techniques.  Students will create a 100-word mini-memoir (which they may opt to submit to the New York Times 'Tiny Love Stories" column) while exploring fiber-work techniques including Yorkshire buttons, Suffolk puffs, peace patches, and more. 

Dig in to an upholstery project of your choice. Spend five full days learning and practicing this useful craft.

This class follows an open workshop format, incorporating students of all levels. Work at your own pace, on your own piece of furniture, with the teacher as your guide.
