Kids' Beginning Woodworking Ages 6-8 2F23
Get behind a saw, swing a hammer, build a treasure box, or a boat that actually floats. Children assemble projects in wood, learning to safely use the basic tools and techniques. Emphasizing creativity in our explorations, students will experience the pleasure of building things and completing them to take home.
New projects each section. Children will love to come back again and again as their skills and comfort increase. Parents are welcome to stay if they wish. Limit 8 students.

My daughter made a great bird house and learned the basics of woodworking in a safe and fun environment. She was very proud of her craftsmanship! The class was well run and organized and the teacher friendly and engaging for the young kids.

I started woodworking a couple years ago when I began working as a teacher's aide for the Eliot School but it didn't take long to find out how much I enjoyed it. Whether it's making furniture or making toys, to me it's always enjoyable and especially rewarding to teach and help students make something they can be happy with and proud of at the end of the day.
All materials provided in class.
