Painting Open Studio 1S23

Teens (17+), Adults

Intermediate and advanced painters are invited to weekly open-format sessions at the Eliot School. The instructor will provide still-life vignettes or live art models for students to work from.  Work independently or receive individual feedback to improve painting skills.  Participate in optional group critiques if desired.

Some painting experience preferred.

*Registration is required.  Attendance at all sessions not required.

*Tuition based on number of sessions selected.  Discount provided for multiple sessions.

*Select number of sessions desired prior to check-out.

Brigid Watson

Brigid Watson

Brigid Watson was born in Kent, Ohio. She has undergraduate degrees from Tufts and SMFA. She obtained her Masters in Painting from NYU/Venice, Italy. She exhibits at several galleries in the US. She has been the recipient of grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the Provincetown Museum, and the Mass cultural Council. She was a Polly Thayer Starrs fellow at the Gardner Museum. She has been teaching drawing and painting at museums, universities and ce schools in the greater Boston area for twenty five years.

Paint, implements and painting surface of your choice.  Oil paint permitted.
