Ashley is a Boston native who graduated from Greater Egleston High School in June, 2023. She has always loved working with her hands and has fond memories of holding her stepdad’s tools while he fixed things around the house. As a senior in high school, she participated in the Eliot School’s Career Pathways in Carpentry and Craft Program and discovered how beautiful and forgiving a medium wood is. She feels that working with such a strong and versatile material made it easy to find joy in the process of bringing an idea to life. She is thrilled to be building her skills in an environment where her learning is nurtured by a diverse group of artists with different personal styles and experiences.

After working as an assistant teacher last summer during the Summer Program for Children, Ashley found a love of teaching as well. About teaching children she said, "Seeing students light up when they see things come together, hearing them talk about how excited they are to finish a project, and ultimately seeing them showcase their work and talk about the process is so joy-inducing!"

When she isn't dreaming up her next project, she spends her free time hanging out with her cat, Louie and her bird, Sokka, just not at the same time.
